Dynamic Church Conference: The Last Day!

I was just about to put up a post about today (because it was a GREAT day), but American Airlines is really on the ball tonight and so it sounds like we will board a little early.  No big post here!  But I will follow up soon.

Some highlights of the day

  • Tony Morgan and Terry Storch finished off the conference with a great keynote by Tony, a follow-up by both guys.  Good job!
  • Lunch with the Abundant Life crew.  Too humorous for words.  Video will be here soon!
  • Anne showed us around Lake Point Church!  It was sweeeeet!  She is so nice to take time out of her day off to show us around!  Video of that to come too.
  • Worship service at Fellowship Church.  Great stuff!
  • A behind the scenes tour of Fellowship Church from Jennifer.  Thanks!  It was great.  Thank YOU for taking time out of your schedule also.
  • Not dying on one of the freeways.  Seriously.  Texas has very poor signage.  What the heck?  I thought everything was bigger down here, but their street markers are itty bitty.

Okay...I'm out!

Dynamic Church Conference: Day 1

Today was the kick-off for the Dynamic Church Conference, the go-to spot for FellowshipOne.  There are many highlights (Mark Lindsley did a fantastic job at his breakout session, gave us some very useful information) and some lowlight (Dude...what's up with no free wi-fi in the hotel?!? It's a tech conference fercryinoutloud...) but all in all it was good.  I will post conference notes later when I get a chance to sort through them.

It started out very interestingly...Mike and I were going to simply register for the conference so we got there before it started and ran into Steve Drechsler, a friend that works for Fellowship Tech.  He immediately whisked us down to a dark room and put us under the interrogation lights!  Actually, they were filming for a F1 promo that we saw tonight at the wrap up session.

So what I thought was so funny was this: well, two things actually.  First, they put makeup on me because my head was too shiny.  Funny stuff.  Second, one of the guys on the production crew came up to me before we started and said, "hey, why don't you give a fake answer to one of the questions.  Have a little fun with the interviewer."  So I did.  She asked me a question about a section of reporting that we don't use very much right now, and so I thought it would be a good time to just play along.  The video shows her reaction...it cracks me up!  The audio is a little faint so you might need to turn up your sound.
